Popped and poured the 2021 Grenache “Santa Clara County” pours a brilliant ruby color with a transparent core and a slightly watery rim. Medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with fresh, crunchy red fruits: raspberries, strawberries, Bing cherry, red flowers, cola nut, and soft baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and loaded with minerals. So fresh. So pure. Fresh & fruity with a little minerality. Really enjoyable with a light summer meal. 🍤🥖 — 2 years ago
Beautiful Grenache, light body, semi-sweet fruity flavors, smooth and very easy to drink. Just fine on its own or paired with roasted meats. — 7 months ago

Wonderful. Light to med body. Great with pasta and meatballs! — 2 years ago
Fruit juicy goodness. Dark, inky purple and nice acid/black fruit balance. Blackberry, goose berry, boysenberry...plenty of fruit but lively in the mouth and remarkably light on its feet. Round, soft tannins escort the wine on its finish. I used to recommend Cabernet to accompany that crusty, juicy medium rare filet... but this makes a brilliant case for carignan from a good producer and old vines. — 3 years ago
