Cheverny Rosé Pinot Noir Gamay

Drank part I with Chicken Cordon blue and part II with cheese ravioli in leftover meatball red sauce. Both paired well but surprisingly better with the ravioli given the salty acidity of the sauce and lightness of the mozzarella filling. Will definitely buy more from Wine Therapy on Elizabeth! — 12 days ago

Cheverny Red Blend 2020

Medium body and lingering finish. Opens with fruity sweetness and noticeable bubbles. Berries (currants, cherries), apples and spices at the end. Very pleasant although more sweetness and fruits than I like. — 21 days ago

Clos de l'Olive Chinon Cabernet Franc 2010

A fine vintage for this. Nose smells like very fine St. Estephe but lighter. Olives (duh), moss tree bark, some cassis, sweet berries, beautiful. So fragrant and has layers of complexity. A 9.6 nose. Truly wonderful. Palate is so velvety, elegant yet substantial and with world class structure and length. This is easily a 50 year wine. It needs a decade and it’s already 12 years old. It’s delicious but the structure is dominating now. The finish is like 2 minutes and has a Pauillac in a good vintage fruit soak and the tannins are just amazing. But so so young. Needs mega hours open. Let’s see. — 7 hours ago

Nice wine to finish the evening with a crème brûlée. Not too sweet. Apricot, honey with some crispness. — 7 days ago

L'Étoile Moelleux Vouvray Chenin Blanc 2018

Pleasantly refreshing given the sugarload which I like to think people say about me when I’m overly excited about something. Still there is something white rose-y, persimmon-adjacent, and honeycomb funky going on. Very linear despite all its complexity like a well-made apple pie—down to earth but there’s more there than the sum of its parts. — 9 days ago

2020 👏 👏 👏. No VA, no Brett, nothing disjointed. Rather, pure pretty fruit. Rose petals, red fruits, spice and perfume. There is a slight green note which makes me wonder if a large % of whole cluster made it in the ferment. Great texture and finesse. — a month ago
