Rosé of Chenançon - a new variety to me. From the Languedoc. Nice bright fruit & some minerality, $13 from Garagiste. — 11 years ago
Surprisingly good wine made from the unheard-of hybrid grape Chenanson. This Grenache-Jurancon hybrid has a smooth cherry flavor and fragrant nose. Something like a Beaujolais in style, but better. A great wine that is different. — 5 years ago

Yummy!!!! Silky, ever so slightly syrupy, quite a deep complex fruity flavour. A very bold white, with zingy grapefruit / lime (I think) along the sides of the tongue with a juicy middle. Would be amazing with a roast chicken or possibly pork in a creamy sauce. — 6 years ago

Chenançon is a new variety for me, this was grown down in the Gard. High toned and earthy, this had a wispy feel in the mouth, somewhat muddled but vibrant as well. Red fruited with soil, some poop and herbal notes. This picked up focus with food, becoming better delineated with a macerated cherry core. On the natural side of things. Quite enjoyable, an interesting wine and all in all a pleasant discovery. — 3 years ago
