Five Mountain Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir 2021

Ruby with elegant red fruit aromas and gentle floral spice, aged for 10 months in French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry and cranberry with notes of tea, herb pepper with wet stone notes. Soft tannins on a long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral notes. Very Nice! — 4 days ago

Elk cove really does a great job with their Pinot noirs! Your notes have inspired me to pick up a bottle for the first time in a while, good stuff!

Tears of Vulcan Viognier Blend 2022

New vintage, 46/44/10 blend of Viognier, Pinot Gris and Muscat. Honey golden yellow, very good clarity. Slight sulfite on nose. Dry, flavors interpolate between the Pinot Gris and Viognier. Didn’t pick up much of the Muscat. Moderate skin astringency on the finish (bear in mind this is an orange wine). Floral, linalool and passion fruit flavors. Give the tannins a little time to soften. Dry as the Gobi Desert, so pair it with something tasty. Cheese? Fries? Something… — 3 months ago

Estate Dopp Creek Pinot Noir 2021

Delectable Wine
9.1

The 2021 Pinot Noir Estate Dopp Creek opens with a dark, dusty bouquet blending cedar shavings and brown spice with blood orange and sour cherries. Softly textured and round, it opens with a pretty inner sweetness complementing rose-tinged red fruits. It finishes fresh with a raspberry and licorice tinge as a bump of residual acidity adds a lasting, lively character. (Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2024)

Ridgecrest Pinot Noir 2008

9.4

Earthy, meaty, leathery, darkly fruited. Class, breed, finesse. Classic old school Ribbon Ridge Pinot. This wine needed these 15 years to express all that. I expect at least another five years of aging potential. — 6 months ago

Silice Pinot Noir 2021

This wine is stunning!

It has a medium ruby color with pronounced & complex notes of strawberry rhubarb, black cherry compote, blueberry 🫐, boysenberry, pomegranate, kirsch, violet, hibiscus, dried bergamot, black licorice, anise, clove, cardamom, & nutmeg. The palate offers mouth-watering acidity, a medium body, plush tannins, medium alcohol (13%), & a lingering finish.

It’s no wonder this was among Wine Spectator’s top 100 wines last year, featured at #32!  Cheers to that!! 🥂
