We had a taste test among 4 Champagnes, this Pierre Peters Cuvee de Reserve, Blanc de Blancs, Dampierre Cuvée des Ambassadeures Premier Cru, and Pehu Simone Face Nord Extra Brut Grand Cru. This one is the weakest in taste, quite band. The Dampierre was the best, bold and tasty finish, while the Pehu Simonet was very drinkable, nice taste but weaker finish. — 6 months ago
Balanced tart on the back of the tongue smooth finish cherries and apple pear with a nice oak note — 6 months ago
Mineral, sharp, a slight effervescence? Very nice with a mid-Autumn feast — 6 months ago
Food rosé. Concentrated. — 6 months ago
Cherry liquer. Red and purple fruit, some barnyard, mulberry and garrigue on the finish. Ripe fruit but lithe with fresh acid, not at all overextracted; prominent tannins (but not too aggressive). Almost reminds me of a ripe, herbaceous alto piedmont Nebbiolo. Fairly one note on the nose for now, just needs more time. — 7 months ago

Oh. my. This is one of the best wines I’ve had in a long time. The 2014 is drinking elegantly; well balanced tannins and acid. Beautiful fruit, floral and tertiary flavors coming through and seemed to expand as it breathed. Let it sit in the decanter for about a hour before drinking. — 10 hours ago
