Pale yellow robe, fine bubbles, nose of citrus with hints of acacias. Very mineral and medium bodied, complex, long. First time we had it and liked very much. — a year ago

Domaine François Raveneau

Montée de Tonnerre Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2002

Citrus pulp, stone fruit, green apples, custard, saline, sea shells, caramel, membrillo paste, acacias. Thriving rounded acidity, lean oily-silky texture, light bodied, incredibly long lemon zest-custard-slightly floral finish. Aromatics were amplified, consistently mineral driven throughout, refined tension. Harmonious. — 7 years ago

Kumeu River

Estate Chardonnay

These wine continue to impress me. Amazing producer with wines that continue to pants burgundy in blind tastings. This is the estate wine which presents immense value. Flinty, acacias, lemon curd, grapefruit, just ripe white nectarine, nougat, with savoury lees character and woody spice. Medium plus, crystalline acidity gives the palate a sense of salinity. Great length. Great wine. — 6 years ago

Reverie

II Sand Lot Vineyard Roussanne Marsanne 2016

Greg Ballington
9.2

Inaugural vintage from the renewed Reverie Winery. Medium yellow hue with an inviting nose that evolves with air. White flowers on the nose with citrus zest and some honeysuckle. Additionally perfumey notes and some tropical fruits when it warmed up. Day two brought on more citrus notes like oranges and something similar to acacias. Crisp and fresh on the palate with bright acidity (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Solid minerality on the palate with notes of citrus, stone and tropical fruits. Maybe some lychee. Medium plus finish. Drink till 2021.

Cour-Cheverny Les Petits Acacias Romorantin 2003

Very interesting wine! I don’t know that I’ve had this grape before. The minerality is really wild and reminds of some steely Burg — 4 years ago
