2023 vintage. From vines planted in 1968. Wonderful floral nose, elegant and complex. This small estate is a great discovery, I had a nice conversation with owner Denis Basset and one of his young daughters, Eva, who is fully involved. An estate to watch! — 9 months ago
Nice nose with oaky notes and currant and small red berries. There is a tiny bit of meat juice too. The palate is well made with a good width, some matter and a nice grainy mouthfeel that expand in the rear with a spherical effect before a great finish with fruits, that meat juice touch and a tiny touch of bitterness. I have had much worse Saint emilion grand cru — 4 years ago
Cedar and more cedar. It’s delicious. — 5 years ago

Tightly knit. Feels like a very old school structural expression. Lacks fruit in a very skillful manner. Fruit started to show a little after a day open. Tannins are fine, slightly unresolved right now. Energy is in check. Not really my thing but I enjoyed it nonetheless. — 6 years ago
2022 vintage. The owners of Fleur Cardinale bought the neighbouring estate Croix Cardinale in 2011. The 4 hectares vineyard is planted with 30% Cabernet Franc, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. For this vintage the blend is 68% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Expectations were high, as I loved the second wine of Fleur Cardinale, Intuition 2020, tasted twice recently. And I am definitely not disappointed. This 2022 Croix Cardinale is some sexy juice! Black cherries, raspberries and strawberries, mixed with very subtle spices and flowers. Perfectly balanced with an exemplary purity of fruit, embedded in a structure of velvety tannins and fresh acidity. If you have this in your cellar, and you are planning to let it age for a few years, I'd suggest you hide it, because it is very hard to resist. Abv. 13,5%. — 3 months ago

One of my favs! Love White Burgs from the Saint Aubin region. Might want to give this a short decant for the funk to blow off. Medium plus gold color. Camomile, lemon, and hints of butter and unripe melons. Complex and well balanced. Rich, deep wine. Long finish. I’m a buyer if anyone knows where to find some. — 3 years ago
Great with Salmon. Would be good with Pork as well. More like a Pinot than a Merlot. — 5 years ago

Strawberries, black cherries, dark chocolate and truffles. Very powerful. Apparently it is aged in 100% new oak, which is often not the best idea, but in this one it's perfectly integrated. Very long finish. — 3 months ago
