Snazzy new label and what a triumph this is in 21! Seashells, lanolin, lime zest echoes, so kinmeridigian and classic. Gorgeous breadth and elegance the nose. An airiness. Very high class and pretty. Palate is so crisp, so tense and so seashelly. Utterly classic and with scintillating acidity and excellent length. A great effort. Inner mouth aromas develop with air as does greater focus. So impressive. — 5 months ago
Night two at Bern’s. From a great looking bottle with a good fill and awesome color. Medium gold color in the glass. Vibrant and youthful looking for its age. Quiet nose at first, and slow to open as it gains air. Then all of a sudden it jumps up to offer notes of apricot, white acacia flowers, stones and some vanilla. Decent structure. Light acidity. Overall it’s good, not great and did not have the emotion and exotic notes that the 83 Rapet CC had the night before. — a year ago
Wow, so earthy and mushroomy. Margaux florals are singing. Red currants. leather, smoke, spice, so many aromas. A 9.7 nose. Lights out. Peppermint. Candy cane. So complex and diverse. Dried leaves. Wet leaves. Tree bark. Juicy and clean with lovely sweet red currant fruit, terrific freshness and some gritty tannins. Great acids and finesse. Cocoa powder and a bittersweet mocha on the finish linger. Spectacular. Such fine tannins and glorious cherry fruit now. BAMA kills in every vintage. After 20 minutes the nose closed as did the palate. I will wait. — 3 months ago
Nose is so airy and mineral with a bit of fat but not much. Seashells. oyster bed, some green apple and lovely wet rain effect. A scene in nature as I like to say. Palate is rich and ripe but with so much nerve and energy and an icing on the cake like texture. Great purity, density and concentration. Long, tangy finish. Really compelling and a bit cold and young so will follow. Nose gets some lemon curd and spice now with air. Wonderful combo of opulence and tension. Really nailed the vintage. — 4 months ago
Light, spicy, Juicy and smooth: A simple joy can be as satisfying as any complex piece of art, if made on point. Try this easy going Cabernet Franc and try to proove me wrong! — 6 months ago

Medium purple in color; black cherries, plums, and dried herbs on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like violets, pomegranates, and wet slate with a long finish. I like it and Nellie does too. — 10 days ago
