Blend of Grenache, Shiraz and other grapes of Australia, shipped to U.S. in chilled containers, reportedly maintaining freshness…aged in French Oak, bottled in 2018 - vintage is simply Red Schooner 1. In any event, the process produced a rich, full-bodied, big fruit but balanced wine with managed tannins…many attributes…better than several of Caymus own labeled wines. — 3 years ago

Cherry and berry nose. Fruit forward with a distinctive spice. Tannins and acidity have mellowed. Easily my favorite. Easy to drink. Drank this 2009 in 2026. Probably my favorite vintage. Stylistically similar to Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich and fruit forward with loads of oak influences. Probaly slightly more jammy than Caymus, it also has a bit more minerality nuance.

Made from grapes grown in the Andes Mountains, shipped chilled to Napa Valley and produced with the same techniques as our Caymus Cabernet. No date but referred to as 2013! Deep Ruby with aromas of dark red fruits, baking spice and dried floral notes. On the palate flavors of ripe blueberry and blackberry fruit with licorice, herb and oak. Fine tannins, lively acidity, long finish ending with fruit and sweet mineral spice. Nice! — 5 years ago
