Pleasantly funky! Blend of Syrah (50%) with the balance split between Garnacha and Carinena (Samso). Aromas of bright brambly red berry fruit, cigar leaf and iodine. Just a touch of Brett. Red berry fruit and beef jerky with a touch of black coffee and dark chocolate on the pallet. A slightly spicy finish. Lacking a bit on the mid-pallet a bit but there is such a great balance of acidity, tannins and alcohol that it can be overlooked. A nice little find recommended by Chris at the Vino Volo in DFW! — 2 days ago

Sparkly and celebratory with rich minerality — a month ago
Tastefully and subtly tart, but not like kombucha, actually very crisp, closer to a great white than an orange wine. Flavors of pear and citrus. — 12 days ago
Light cava not too effervescent — 16 days ago
Fascinating wine from NE Spain: golden color w/green hue, made from Grenache Blanc w/some other white grapes I believe, amfora gave it a musky oxidized element, a lot of marine saline & minerality, tart citrus, some pucker & zingy acidity all juxtaposed w/some silky viscous mouthfeel. Well done, some white flowers, herbaceous notes, nicely structured, balanced through finish. These are the types of wines that hold my interest. — 7 days ago

Celebration time! The hubby is OFFICIALLY full professor. Got the letter from the university prez today. So to celebrate: cava brute nature. Aroma of pear with a dash of almond.. Zesty taste of lime, green apple, seashell and chalk. A little bitter at the end but I still like it. Good on its own or would be good to make cocktails out of. — a month ago
