A whole-hearted 9.5 this Castelnau deserves. Just wow. 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier and 10 years on the lees. Full-bodied and rich - almost like drinking a bubbly Sancerre at times and really a steal at 54 Euros a bottle. I want cases of these in my home. — 5 years ago

A lovely blanc de blanc now 18yrs past the vintage but this spent 12 of those on the lees. The fruit has matured into a place where the major notes are pear, honey, and nuts while all that lees age brings the buttered biscuit finish. In a great place right now. — 8 years ago
