A bit herb to make me feel where it came from. Good concentration. Cherry. Black and red fruits. Seña Rocas de Sena Aconcagua Valley Red Blend 2020 @1950, Fred, 230623 — 3 years ago
On a Chile night when the budget won’t stretch to Almaviva or Sena, then this will do nicely. Plenty of rich fruit and complexity, with some tannin structure and a dry but flavoursome finish. 2016 produced a lot of Bordeaux like reds in Chile, I have tasted some very enjoyable stuff from that vintage. — 7 years ago
I’m a real fan of @vik_wine since trying the 2011 so have been keen to try the 2012 @ £100 & it sure is another winner from 🇨🇱 Drinking superb now & will improve 👍 If you like a big bold but well balanced wine you will love this 😉
📍 Vina VIK 2012

🍇 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Carménère, 6% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot & 2% Syrah
🍷 Opaque deep blackened ruby

💭 If the 2013 of this wine is at the level Sena 13 was at it could be an epic buy on release as it will be stratoswinic 😍

Wine Connection (Sena Fest)
A little spicy but rich and full body — 3 years ago
Opened too early. Will need lots of air. Reminds me of Chilean Sena. Good acidity and complex. The mediterenean mineral and rocks and sea breeze is there — 5 years ago
Delicious! Not a long finish but very, very enjoyable.
First time at Bistro Vida with Sena. — 7 years ago
Bachelor nite. Partner to europe for eork. Long cork. Nose was excellent compare to the palate. Not of dark black fruit and liquorice. Overall vegetal note of herbs and cabage. Spice and ruhurb and some eculyptus and tobacco. The after note was slightly bitter and sharp. Hint of chocolate and chaulky minerality. Nose do have the soy sauce smell. Nose has some similarity to chile sena. Later the wine more floral. — 7 years ago
Suppose to be quite a famous sicily producer. Dark brick red and the smell is floral, spicy, fresh. Complex with an array of elements that can trace back to a volcanic features - mineral, wet stones, blackcurrent and dark fruit. A bit of chewing gum taste and balance. Very good and similar feel like the sena 2007 just slightly tone down. Fri night with partner out at her xmas party and me watching a wednesday. Savoury bitter sweet. Firery flower bouquet. Can feel the terrior n the place. Iodine trace, olive and tar. Licorice, balsamic and herbs — 8 years ago
@Mike Rowe @David A Lentine @Kirk Alexander @Ron R In my opinion., this was the 2nd place finisher in tonight's lineup. I Decanted all of the bottles with the exception of the Sena at 3pm. They all had 5+ hours to spread their wings and amaze us. This one certainly did. Massive and wound really tight at 3pm BUT it was flying as gracefully as a Monarch butterfly at 8pm. Awesome., awesome wine. Incredible producer. It Paired perfectly with Christine's homemade spaghetti sauce. — 10 years ago
We had this in Santa Fe at La Casa Sena for a late afternoon drink and snack. — 4 years ago
För sena kvällar då man talar om framtiden. — 5 years ago
Well this was interesting. Tasting after eachother:
Lynch Bages 2009
Sena 2007
Chadwick 2007
In all honesty I hope the LB is just in a numb phase. It didnt do the trick yet. Still has a lot of acids whilst drinking. The nose however is great but taste wise it doesnt match.
Sena is as Sena can be. In your face! Plenty of everything: blackfruit, sweet, ripe, some wood, umami always. Very yummi.
Then the Chadwick that is close to perfection. That is Sena but distinguished. Calm but present. Lush and you taste it for minutes. — 7 years ago
Celebrating #30 at La Casa Sena with Jon. — 8 years ago
@Mike Rowe @David A Lentine @Ron R @Kirk Alexander I lied before when I said the Sena was the only bargain bang for the buck that we enjoyed tonight. This wine is s rockstar for its price point. I call it my baby Vega! It's an awesome wine which did a great job at highlighting the strengths of every other wine that was enjoyed tonight. Believe me., it's a kickass bottle of wine but it was unfortunately overshadowed by its peers. I own 18 of these., so you know I like it! Next time., I won't open it next to 3 100 point bottles!!
Whoops., my bad! Lol — 10 years ago
