Funky, spicy, but with plenty of bright cherry to balance. Loud and proud, not particularly balanced but it’s working for this wine. Great with pizza. — 8 months ago

Here is a unique Merlot for #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Pale gold in color.
The nose reminds me of a Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of Chardonnay.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with mild complexity.
Showing citrus, green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs and spices.
Tangy finish with limes and light almonds.
Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. Nicely balanced and elegant.
A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Chardonnay. Aged in concrete vats on the lees for 6 months.
12.3% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

Medium ruby in color; blackberries, strawberries, tabacco on the nose; medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like blueberries, strawberry jam, white pepper, and crushed gravel with a long finish. — 9 months ago
