The most disappointing vintage of this I’ve had. Thin and a little green.

Somehow this outperformed the 2016 in my memory. Lots of cedar and herbs, black cherry, anise and cardamom. Lovely sinewy tannin and mineral finish.

There's a wonderful complexity here - cherry, wood and a bunch of herbs. On the palate it's very dry with a nice bite from the tannins. I get more wood and grass than fruit and the acidity also hides the fruit a bit. This is a smashing wine!

Hits different on PnP. Palate calibrated to sparkling. Immensely delicious with 🍕.

Medium ruby; intense Dusty gravel, nutmeg, blackberries, cedar aromas. High alcohol, medium tannin, dry, medium plus body, flavors match aromas with fruitiness more in the background than the wood and mineral notes, but acidity carries through the whole thing. A lot going on. Complex And balanced and interesting. Very good.
