Violet. Oak and vanilla. Blueberry jam. Fruity. 5 years is much better than 2 years tasted last time. alvaro palacios camins del priorat, Priorat in Catalunya 19 @3718, AD, 240521 — 8 months ago
Ugh YES! This is so good! This is the chiller summer tee of my dreams! Berries! But light, with minerality! — 5 years ago
Dreams are best when they come true. Needed 2+ hours of decanting and then provided a beautiful balance of flowers and cherry on the nose and enough tannins to give it strength. There is a reason for its reputation. If anything would have been better in 5+ years at least. A joy. — 6 years ago
A tasting note for Camins 2 Dream Syrah from John Sebastiano Vineyard. Because I couldn’t find where else to log it. Limestone soil. Kirsch. 30% whole cluster. Juicy red cherry. Strawberry cotton candy. Vibrant color. Lifted acid tone. Tingly on the palate. — 3 years ago
Bought 32 bottles total. Drank them from 2007 - 2017. Each bottle was unbelievably good each and every time, but did mellow a little in the last 2 years. I would never have guessed a grenache would have tasted this bold and complex. Predominantly dark fruit, dark chocolate, and then some back end spice which I can only describe as what would happen if you rubbed pepper corns (a lot) some clove (not much) into saddle leather that had been stored once in a barn where tobacco had been smoked. This is one of those wines all my friends and I still mention at the top of “best wines ever” lists. It is the wine one dreams of after it’s all gone. — 6 years ago
