Third rating for this: started at 10 degrees , and warmed up to around 15-18 in a warm 29 degrees tropical Singapore. Was fresh, crisp, lemon-like at first, followed by zesty mandarin orange flavours that finally matured to mellow honey apricots. Love Cedric Bouchard. Such singular wines. Always single vintage, single variety and single vineyard Bechalin is aged 3 years in the lees, no dosage and only 150 cases are made. The wine is so Burgundian and the bubbles are super fine. Such lovely purity, elegance with simultaneous intensity. Long finish. Always drink out of Zalto Bordeaux or Grassl Cru. Has a harder edge than some of the other petite arvines I have been trying. More minerality, and more oak. But no prominent vanilla and less rounded mouthfeel but still dense. I like it, seems more serious. — 3 months ago
Magnificent bottle, the color is dark gold. Pastry and a touch of almonds, lots of white fruits, juicy ripe pears in particular that come out also on the delicious palate, fresh, fine and tight bubbles, slightly creamy, vivid acidity and freshness, lots of energy, very good bottle. 93-94
Magnifique Champagne, couleur or prononcée. Un nez de pain brioché, touche d’amandes, beaucoup de fruits blancs, poires mures juteuses en particulier que l’on retrouve au palais aussi. Gosh, this shit rocks! Takeout sushi at home... amazing fatty tuna sashimi..: of course champagne. Gorgeous balance, brilliant tiny bubbles, and impeccable lightness of being (sorry lit majors).
