1999: Yeah. Outstanding 25-year old Barolo still an explosion of Nebbiolo flavor. Brick color but plenty of depth, with strawberry fruit well-balanced by typical leather and tar. A treat now, and wouldn’t wait any longer. — 5 months ago

Deep ruby in color; black pepper, black cherries, and tabacco on the nose; high acidity; high tannins; tastes like blackberries, tart cherries, and wet slate with a long finish. — 2 months ago

Lekkerste rose die ik ooit gedronken heb. Een lichte tintel, precies droog genoeg. — 2 months ago
This smells exactly like the guava hard candies they give at Tasty Hand Pulled Noodles. — 6 months ago
Superb nose. Big bright dark cherries. Slight hint of reduction as well. Woodsmoke and spices galore. Reduction blows off after 5 minutes. Once can tell from the nose that this wine is stuffed to the gills. The darker side of Chianti. What a nose. Keeps opening and opening. Palate is dark, deep and concentrated. Lovely hit of opulence in the mid palate and then wonderful sweet fruit and lovey structure. The tannins are something fierce but not overwrought. Great length. This is superb. What poise and balance. Amazing structure and density. Such sweetness! Confectionery cherries galore. A baby now but has 25+‘years to go. Wonderful.

Dry, smooth, full bodied wine. This wine was perfect alone, though would be perfectly paired with a red meat. I purchased this wine at Costco of all places typically about 30.00 but got it for a steal at 20.00! It’s fabulous — 5 days ago
