Great bottle in my new Colonel's Cabin. Compliments of Danny Pocket Byrd and wife Ann Marie buying for me while I'm in quarantine — 4 years ago
Had this wine at Byrd and Baldwin Bros. steakhouse the night we eloped. It is fantastic. It has lots of dark flavors but none are overwhelming. I could drink it everyday! — 8 years ago
Mendocino County, CA, Bordeaux style blend is fantastic value. Dark ruby color, full bodied and very smooth. Nice dark bramble fruit with pepper note and fine tannins on the finish. Would probably continue to develop nicely over the next few years. — 8 years ago
Smoky Syrah! Wow! Purchased from Flatiron. — 5 years ago
Dark, powerful wine. Blackberry & cracked pepper with chalky tannins just played perfectly with grillled Tri tip. This showed some great earthy notes as it opened up. Thoroughly enjoyed this wine. Paired up with what should be a country rock classic, The Fantastic Expedition Of Dillard & Clark. Ex-Byrd Gene Clark had a better run after he left the band & this is one of his highlights. — 6 years ago
Very deep ruby in color with a reddish rim. Not showing much age.
Fruity nose with blueberries, black plums, black cherries, raspberries, earth, light oak, licorice, spices, light herbs, black pepper and pencil lead.
Full bodied and elegant, with medium-plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, plums, red currants, oak, tobacco, earth, cherries, spices, peppercorn and coffee.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendocino County in California. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel.
This 9 year old is drinking very nicely now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 3 to 5 years.
Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. I gave it a couple of hours in the decanter to open up properly.
Very enjoyable by itself, as a sipping wine by the porch.
Feels like a fruit forward right bank Bordeaux. Tangy and spicy. Rich and elegant.
I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown at 2,400 feet of elevation.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Extra tenth points for outrageous QPR when purchased for $20 in 2019. Do you like aged, inky, estate cabs you can buy off shelf 10 years later and still decant? Maybe not the best fruit a decade ago, but who cares? Beside the point completely. I’ll buy until it’s gone. From the place I bought it. Which I’m not sharing. — 5 years ago
Deep inky purple color and medium bodied. Dark bramble fruit, faint earth notes and a smooth finish with light pepper notes. Delicious and easy drinking. — 8 years ago
