Green pea and lemon, butternut and chive; a waxy Semillon essence, leek and white pepper. Perfect age here on a magnum, and shining incandescent. Garden melange on the palate showing baby spinach minus the tannin and crunchy sprouted barley but bouncing hard to lemon abcf citrus peel to deliver a creamy yet pithy framework that rings undeniably dry and lemongrass forever. Excellent in every way and singularly expansive. The DOCG is well -deserved and remarkable. Aloe and chayotes.

2019. Pairs well with Pork Medallions in mushroom gravy and Butternut Squash Ravioli. Nice finish on each sip. Serve chilled. Please enjoy. — 5 years ago

Medium-light bodied red blend wine from Burgenland. Cherries, raspberries, slate -- and roasted butternut squash and caramel on the finish. Great minerality. — 8 years ago
Had this with dinner in Solvang Christmas 2017. Rich, not too dry, fruity, paired well with everything we ate (pasta, pizza- I had a butternut squash caprese!) — 9 years ago
Herb notes, butternut squash aromas — 9 months ago
Very intense white, with concentrated flavors and acidity. Mediterranean salt, minerals, citrus peel. From a tiny island off the coast of Napoli. Great stuff, but definitely a food wine (13% abv). With tonight’s dinner of Italian eggplant shakshouka and sweet potatoes in sesame tahini butter. Blue Raspberry Sour Patch Kids for dessert.
Update: had my last bottle with roasted butternut squash in couscous salad, and it was a little too harsh, even with food. Bumping my rating down a bit. — 2 years ago
Beautiful and integrated. Tannins and settled in wonderfully but the structure still manages the high alcohol and keeps everything incredibly balanced.
Having with Cornish game hen with roasted butternut squash, onions and celery. Finally a cool evening in the summer. Taste like Thanksgiving.

Exceptional. Our guests loved this from the first sip. this wine paired beautifully with with the salty latkes and sour cream appetizers we served. It was just as magnificent with roast salmon, and a butternut squash with maple-Serrano glaze. Depth, brightness and all-around delicious. — a year ago

Light, fading but exquisite Burgundy. Schneider’s 2010 on 9/22/2013 $34.99 drank with butternut soup, Brussels + fennel on 7 April 2018. — 8 years ago
Some Dude
Clos de la Roilette is a gorgeous and well-structured wine. It has a beautiful depth to support that gorgeous floral elegance of a Fleurie.
We had it with a caramelized onion galette, and with some salmon and roasted butternut squash over arugula: and it was delicious with both. — 8 months ago
