At first pour - this wine was bricked and burnt orange. Tasted gross frankly. Hit it with the winepro2 oxygen and it magically began to open up and reveal something. Paired it with some Parmesan cheese and then it started humming. Enjoyed with a lemon garlic Parmesan pasta. Alls well that ends well. — 9 months ago
This was a nice medium weight BdM , a touch tannic upon opening but that resolved nicely after an hour’s decant and a nice steak.
Dark fruits, some wood, leather, acidity a bit tamped down ( could be the heat of the vintage). Slight burnt orange and toffee in there.

Still fairly primary. The fruit on the nose is remarkable. The purest apricot, and a little lightly burnt brown sugar, lots of flowers. Intense in the mouth. Not that sweet, and pretty good acids. Great length. This will go a long time. Delicious now, and certainly much better down the road. — a month ago
No formal notes. A burnt brassy colour. It’s difficult to imagine a white wine with more flavour intensity than this skin contact Orange wine from Gravner. From memory apricot and mandarin peel, walnuts. Great palate length, low acid. Went well with a rich fish dish where I would normally have a light Pinot Noir. — a year ago
The elegant side of #grenache - High-toned strawberry + red floral elements on the nose, elegant creamy texture on palate, soft tannins, balanced acidity. Lovely wine from I. Brand & Family Winery. #centralcoastwine — 2 years ago
browner colour, smells of burnt caramel, apricots, amber honey - very syrup-y. not as sweet as the other port. tastes like raisins, maple syrup-esque. tastes similar to the maple syrup taffy/lollipops. not as fruity as the other port. after chocolate the flavours are softened and honestly not as sweet — 9 months ago
Last bottle of this very impressive Chardonnay. Still very flinty and burnt match on the nose with a slightly sweeter palate than the last note. That grapefruit in its youth is now more yellow peach. Technical notes - using the P58 clone. All grapes were hand harvested prior to whole bunch pressing to French Oak puncheons - 30% new oak. Malolactic conversion was prevented. Drinking at its peak - made by one of Australia’s leading exponents of Chardonnay In David Bicknell. This is world class! — a year ago
Out the bottle- cherry and burnt oak flavor. Will add after hour decanting — 2 years ago
