Juicy, volatile, and tremendously flavorful for its sub-13% abv, it has the sweet fruit and spice of typical Grenache blends, on a leaner, fresher frame. Much better when served chilled, even cold, and no doubt would perform even better with six months of bottle age. Nonetheless, the perfect wine to liven up a heavy pork belly sandwich from bougie AF Eataly. Minus one point for horrific label design and one point for, at this price, why not just buy some really good Beaujolais or something. — 8 years ago

Not overly experienced with the bougie bubbles, but I bought this after hearing someone use Prosecco and Champagne interchangeably for the millionth time. Was just hoping for better, and the Total Wine tag suggested a quality experience. Thoroughly enjoyed this! It was more on par with a nice dry white and had fizz a plenty. Get into the Cru Bourgeois it doesn’t mean you are bougie (which Merriam-Webster just decided to include in their dictionary so if you don’t know what I mean...look it up), it just means you have high standards and a way with bargains. Consummate old world. It’s all like hi I’m all dark berries and black currant and violets and we’ve been having a party with our buddy tar but hidden in a pencil box because we are supes into graphite.
