This Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend is starting to drink nicely now. Elegant and nicely balanced, but still feels very tight.

Earthy with nice complexity, and very Left Bank Bordeaux in style.

Still very young and not as approachable. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

Needs a few hours to open up properly, and a good food wine.

A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Carmenere, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Aged for 20 months in (70% new) French oak barrels.

Dry red wine, blue-violet, deep pigmentation, funky smell that dissipated after awhile, on the nose blackberry, hint of sweetness, dried herbs, sweet smoke, on the palette black fruit, black cherry, sage. Full body, medium tannins but well integrated, medium acidity. Conclusion- Yummy, jammy, full bodied Syrah from a warm climate. — 7 days ago

Even at 13 years this is yet as powerful and robust as in its first years.
Loads of blackfruit and chocolate in the nose and some hints of tar.
In the mouth silky, long and a nice acidity to balance. It benefits btw from decanting as it is way better on day 2. — 7 months ago

1+hr decant. Deep, dark purple color. Complex nose of dark fruit and spices. Absolutely massive wine! Requires small pours and sips. Concentrated dark fruit with slight hints of vanilla and tons of spices and herbs on the palate. Complex but varies between a velvet and spicy texture. Decent finish. Definite aging potential.
