The winery is known for its Petite Sirah, and this bottling from the home estate in Calistoga shows why.
Aromas of blueberry, plum, violet, dark chocolate, black pepper and subtle fresh herbs. Rich and powerful palate, yet surprisingly lifted, with fresh acidity and firm but polished tannins. Finish is long, savory and gently candied.
Will benefit from further bottle aging and drink beautifully for the next 8-10 years. — 3 months ago
Yummy Amarone with colleagues in Singapore (Shangri La Italian restaurant). Yep, would quite happily have another bottle. 2020 — 5 months ago
— 6 months ago

I’m getting citrus and fruity notes from this one. I am surprised I like this. It has a light body and is easy to drink. Yay — 2 years ago
It leads with black olives, then a touch of brett but pleasant, purple flowers, and a good amount of stony minerality. Very quintessential Syrah. A little bit of bacon fat and smoke. On the palate the body is light. Tannins are moderate and fine and it brightens up the profile with good acidity even though the finish is not very long. It's very clear what they're trying to do and they're achieving it here. — 3 months ago
This California Chardonnay offers warm notes of butter with green apple and vanilla. It is full bodied with a long smooth finish. — 5 months ago

At La Gazzetta Italian restaurant for the second time. The first wine we tried here last time we didn’t like so we tried a different, more expensive one this time. Much better experience by spending a few more Euros…22.50€ on the wine list but the only charged us 18.50€ because we told them we didn’t like their 18.50€ wine. Nice gesture…one that will bring us back. — 3 years ago

A gorgeous nose. Soft sweet corn, brioche, confit lemon, limestone and a light saltiness. In a lovely place right now — a month ago
