Deep ruby color. Aromas of blue and black fruit, licorice, dried stone fruit and herbs. Superb Zin! Boysenberry, white pepper and raspberry liquor.

V13. Very good. Nice candied cedar nose. Rich, black and blue fruits. Lasting, velvety, dry, mocha, black pepper finish. Nicely balanced. — 4 years ago
Can’t believe it’s been over a year since my last bottle. Absolutely love this wine. Gorgeous floral and fruit nose. Black, then blue ripe fruit, camphor, eucalyptus, black licorice, pencil lead. Silky soft tannins, perfectly balanced, incredibly mouthfeel. Full bodied but light on its feet. Long finish. Tasting better now than my last time, so raising the rating. — 6 months ago
Very pleasant. Varietally correct. Lots of fruit - blackberry jam, plum, blue fruit on the palate. Nice medium tannins that subtly build make this good to pair or enjoy on its own. — 3 years ago
At first it drank more like a dry Napa Valley Merlot than a Cab. Dark fruit of blue berry with an edge of dried fig. Interestingly over time the tannins started to evolve and became more pronounced giving it a deeper layer of complexity and a grippy finish. — 3 years ago
Great blue and black fruit with a nice pop. Smooth. Some structure. Not jammy. Overall winner — a year ago
Tried several bottles, all great! Founded by Cody and Marque Wright, yes that family of the great Ken Wright Pinot’s very nice small production Pinot, 1700 cases, sourced from 8 vineyards. Ruby, purple hues with aromas of blue and red fruits with an array of spices. On the palate youthful flavors of cherry and fresh strawberry, licorice notes with elegant spice. Fine tannins, long ending with fruit and tangy spice and mineral notes. Great now but a few years will bring out more of the wines complexity. — 3 years ago
Haut-Bailly Dinner in SF with Veronique Sanders of Haut-Bailly.
The 2010 is an excellent vintage but, it is for the later part of your life or your children.
This is drinking beautifully with a 4 hour decant. The structure & tension are just starting to their softening stage. The length and balance are in the forget about it range and will just get better & better. Ripe, stunning fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, black raspberries, plum & a touch of blue fruits. Moist clay & top soils, stones, mint, graphite, fresh tobacco, dark cola, anise to black licorice with stunning, withering floral bouquet. Acidity is perfect. The finish is everything you want in a Bordeaux.
Definitely a 99-100 point wine in 15 years plus.

What a nose! Such bright black and blue fruit! Needs 45 min decant and the wine is absolutely gorgeous. Blue and black fruit galore, ripe and juicy but not a juice bomb, wonderfully structured tannins and solid backbone, minerality. Nice long finish. Adore this wine! — 3 months ago
