The Wagyu Ribcap & Rib Cover steaks comparison from Allen Brothers. The sell only the top 1% of beef.
The Barton is 100% steak wine.
Classic Caret even in a marginal vintage...Anthony to the rescue.
The body is medium to full & sails on the palate. Ripe & ruby; blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, black plum, uncooked rhubarb with hue of raspberries. Cedar, sandstone/limestone, tobacco, leather, graphite, dry river stones, dark, rich, earth, licorice, dark cola, dark spice with heat, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, moist clay, melted caramel & mocha, dark chocolate bar, black pepper with bright, candied, fresh, dark, red, purple & blue florals. the acidity is a gentle, cool to warm rain shower. The finish is, all St. Julien elegance, well intergraded, balanced, landing on earth & spice that is persistent for days. — 4 years ago
Scored on closeout & very much alive, still inky & dense - very generous nose of black & red berried fruit, cassis, mocha, warm spice, just really classic CS dominated blend. Lush fleshy on the plate, palate mirrors nose - plenty of tannins, not a ton of finesse but very drinkable. Steal @ $12 — 2 years ago
Bright Black Cherry bliss….12.5 ABV with brilliant zippy acidity driving the bus. Deceptive simplicity that rings like a bell, hugs your tongue and palate, then slips away in the night leaving you with a sly smile. All the Ryme wines represent a huge bargain….please steer clear and don’t let the cat out of the bag. — 3 years ago
Nice light wine. Would go great with a slice of thin crust NY pizza or pork chops. Black cherry and strawberry notes. Nice tangy yet smooth finish. — 4 years ago
Either mildly corked or brutally closed aromatically. :-(. So no rating. In the cat is alive universe decant for quite a while.
Nose. Occasionally some lilacs peek out from under the sheets.
Palate : Very elegant. Not super grippy. Crushed flowers. Super sweet raspberries. Black cherries. 9.3-9.5. A kiss of awesome elegant licorice.
Finish is a 9.5. So this would likely be very good. Stream of crushed flowers. Long.

ok. This is closed now. After an hour it opens and is great. Blind a more dense and dark fruited Cote rotie. Not rustic at all.
Fauterie rocks.
Bought from fass selections.

Everything was in balance. I would score this higher but after a hours time the fruit turned a bit to taste like raisins. — 3 months ago
