What a nice surprise this is. Juicy, earthy and punching well above its weight. Perfectly balanced. Wine sourced from younger vines in the Ahr valley, which was ravaged by devastating flooding in 2021. — 3 years ago

Tricky blind if there wasn't a preceding Portugieser in the line-up. Very elegant with notes of cherries, roses, and dried spices, along with a touch of smoke and musk. Fresh and juicy on the palate. Simpler, but very enjoyable - an impressive effort considering the varietal. — 4 years ago

Beautiful entry level from Bertram.
This wine is full of red fruits, a bit earthy and some spices.
Good concentration but also really elegant.
High acidity balanced by al the fruits.
Medium finish. One of the best PQR's in the Ahr — 8 years ago
