2021/4/9-10 with Yuko’s nori bento and delivery yakitori. I gave this a try because they had it at a local wine shop who use taste matches mine (generally a good strategy), and this was just what you’d hope for - light and juicy but characterful, with sneaky stuffing. Sweet sparkling wine made through the Asti winemaking process.
Good quality. The wine is light body, low alcohol and is well balanced between fruit and acid. It has pronounced aromas and flavours of orange blossom, grape juice and peach.

Why do I smell mangoes in everything? Orange peel, celery, black peppercorn, nectarine, chutney, and pickled carrots. Tangerine jam.
Body of kombucha. Peaches, peach soda, peach marmalade.
Still love it.

Quite garnet colour , terracotta rim, slightly younger looking than the Lovara, very fine sediment . Slight touch of leather , then spiced cassis , sous bois , coffee, grafite . On the palate quite good sweet dark fruits , with touch of soy sauce , leather , sous bois , dry spices . Good balanced, quite fresh acidity , soft tannins . Medium length and still showing really quite well . At the end of its drinking window so drink now and over the next couple of years — 5 months ago
