Quite garnet colour , terracotta rim, slightly younger looking than the Lovara, very fine sediment . Slight touch of leather , then spiced cassis , sous bois , coffee, grafite . On the palate quite good sweet dark fruits , with touch of soy sauce , leather , sous bois , dry spices . Good balanced, quite fresh acidity , soft tannins . Medium length and still showing really quite well . At the end of its drinking window so drink now and over the next couple of years

Garnet core and wide garnet rim , showing its 20 years of age as expected. Tobacco , leather , spice dominate , just a touch the cassis. On the palate quite generous mid palate , a bit dusty and rustic , more of a herbaceous side , tobacco , leather dried black fruits , decent acidity and a reasonably good finish . Slightly warm alcoholic kick at the end . Mature and needs to be drunk, this from a 6 litre. Very commendable however for a Brazilian wine from the 1990’s.
