Fonton Avecchia

Falanghina del Sannio 2018

Opens with hints of lime and sea breeze on the nose, this wonderful white is fruit driven and finishes with a zippy saline finish. Takes me back to watching the sunset over the cliffs in Positano! — 7 days ago

Vigna Quattro Confini Aglianico 2016

I often prefer a younger Aglianico to Taurasi. This is a great example. Food friendly and fresh, but not lacking complexity. — 13 days ago

I want to open one of my older Taurasi when you’re over. I’ve liked them a lot.

La Fortezza

Enzo Rillo Sannio Fiano

Lots of layers and super textured white. What I would call fuller bodied. Golden fruits. Sizeable acidity. Great with pizza (mortadella, bufala, crushed pistacchio). — a month ago

Feudi di San Gregorio

Sannio Falanghina 2017

Pale lemon with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and floral spice notes. On the palate pear and lemon flavors with notes of nutty citrus. Good acidity balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with mineral herb character. Very Nice! Good value! — a month ago

Sannio Taburno Greco Bianco 2017

An amazing wine.

Palate is rich but balanced with crackling minerality. Lovely texture. Honey kiss on the lips on the finish.

Fiano di Avellino 2017

Lime zest, mint, and a little guava/lychee on the nose. Starts out all flint and grapefruit then broadens into something richer and more mouth-coating. A note of chamomile too. Beautiful, I would love to see how this ages.

Update: Enjoyed this over 4 days. Though there was no big surprise to the evolution, it settled into itself and provided so much joy. For all around enjoyment to the dollar, this can’t be beat.
