Med body, savoury acid, reasonably simple but nice length — 2 years ago
At my 2015 Chardonnay Challenge the Giaconda was a consensus 3rd. Easily the most smoky, sulphidic, struck match of the 6 wines. I loved it. On the palate a powerful wine. Opulent. This wine is becoming difficult to source and sells out in a flash upon release. — 2 months ago
Great wine to enjoy with a friend or alone!
Before I opened, refrigerated for 20 minutes and The more I let it breathe the more I enjoyed the wine. The Tempranillo grape used for this wine, made it a wine I would definitely drink again. — 2 years ago
Stunning. Everything tied together beautifully after a couple of years in bottle. Delicious stuff!! — 2 years ago
A stunning wine from my favourite durif winery. — 3 months ago
Mid yellow in colour. Flinty, minerally with light stone fruit - under ripe peach/nectarine. Restrained, delicate, savoury, beautiful. Just an excellent Chardonnay whichever way you cut it. The labels copying the Burgundian graphics but totally worthy of the contents. Sorrenberg, in Beechworth, is a neighbour of Giaconda - generally recognised as one of the best in Australia. — 8 months ago
