A Texas Hill Country wine from Stonewall, TX. Great winery to visit with live music and tasting. Nice cherry , spice, and chocolate notes — 14 days ago
Very elegant Spatburgunder. — 3 months ago
This is one of my all time favorites. This pinot grits gets its rose color from being fermented over grape skins. Beautiful complex aromas ranging from citrus to the carnal odor of some red wines. — a month ago
Just the right amount of sweetness after given time to aerate. — 23 days ago

En Magnum. Built like a tank! High acid, massive extract, super pungent, crazy mineral, extra concentrated herbal lemon drop. This is riesling turned up to 11 (on a scale of 10)!
As much as this does not fit in my M.O. for riesling drinking, I can't help but be impressed with Becker's Edition Jean Baptist. Undeniably high octane, especially at 14% abv, but unbelievably balanced and pure. The wine needs heaps of time to hit full stride - best after 2 days of aeration. Intense aromas of exotic fruits and herbs. Think candied lemon, pineapple, and even jackfruit. On the palate, the structure is immense. Luscious crystalline fruit sitting on enamel-melting acidity and minerality directly extracted from liquid rock. You can definitely feel some warmth in the finish, but the length is incredible. This is Rheingau, old-school in its full glory! — a month ago
