Compared to the last Becker dry Spatlese tasted, this was less inviting: a bit more mineral & stony, with none of the fruit flavors associated with Riesling to be found. Very chiseled & imagine needs time in bottle/ long decant. You can still taste the precision though. — 4 months ago

En-magnum and opened for my baby boy’s first birthday, this Becker was a hit with the crowd. I thought it could have been better though. Frankly, this had a little more petrol note than I’d like, but it still showed excellent energy. Earthy, salty, powerful, and laser-sharp. Hope to try a better sample down the line. — 7 months ago
