2018 with homemade pizza - solid wine — 7 months ago
A split rating between Lesley and Harry. Light tannins but slightly peppery very smooth across the palette…yummy! Especially sitting next to the Raspberry patch and eating my best burgers ever and broccoli harvested moments before cooking. TBD - s’mores are next on the agenda. Wish you were here!! — 8 months ago
A blend of multiple vintages; 2019/2021/2022, stands out from the crowd, aromatic, perfumy and charming on the nose, inviting notes of black fruit, amazing toasted notes, nice structure, rounded tannins, lovely acidity, slightly fruity but balanced. Long finish, but not overpowering! — a month ago
Nose presents baking spices and a touch of soft brown sugar. Palate is dense and layered, as usual for this producer (before the winery changed hands the first time around). Notes of coffee, tobacco and maple syrup come through on the mid palate. Nice tannin/acidity combination complete what is a classic BV presentation. Drink these within the 24 months. This winery has been on the slide ever since Ed Snyder and team departed. I tasted some of the 18’s and 19’s and they were a mere shadow of the previous product.

We had the 2012 Vintage on 11/3-4/24. A nice Old World Bordeaux. BlackBerry, plum and spice on the palate. Tannins smoothed out. Full bodied and well balanced. — 5 months ago
Region: Saint-Estephe Grape Variety: Bordeaux Blend Red ABV: 13.5% . "Ruby red with violet reflections in colour, on the nose, aromas of plum and cassis with notes of spices. On the palate, dry, oaky, smokey, spicy, fruity, hint of tobacco, touch of leather and toast, delivers red fruits character, balanced, lengthy, soft, silky, layered, mature, earthy, persisted, rich, firm. It has a long finish." — 7 months ago
