15’ Beau Vigne Bacigalupi Chardonnay. Needed an additional 18 months in bottle. Frankly, it wasn’t very good upon release.
Apricot, pear, pineapple, butterscotch, with a streak of acidity that dissipates after a short period of time in the glass. Unlike the Edge Hill( same part of the vineyard )this 2015 has a much shorter window to consume it at its very best. That being said… Fantastic now! Drink them up in the next 3/4 years.

Big aromas of honeyed mango, honeysuckle, and oak. The oak itself isn’t out of place or obtrusive...reminds me of some Peter Michael Chardonnays in the way it is a big battle of oak and fruit on the nose. Mid palate isn’t as dense as the front or finish, but it will flesh out over the next year or two. Rich yet balanced acidity. Toasted cashews, lanolin, and buttered tropical fruit. This could use a few more years, but it’s accessible now with a decant.

The 13 was absolutely spectacular so the 15 had big shoes to fill...I was reluctant to opening thinking it needs more bottle time. Not the case, wet rock honeysuckle and white peach 🍑 fill the nose. Lemon, quince and pineapple coat the palate. Finish is rich and layered with a sense of tannins. Serve at room temp is a must.

Dec 3rd, 2016A great Chardonnay! Nose - vanilla, caramel, pineapple, sweet oranges. Taste - citrus fruits, vanilla and oak. Not too acidic at all. Full, velvety mouth feel.

Mar 17th, 2021Nose - pineapple, lemon zest, vanilla. Taste - citrus fruit and great vanilla flavor, little bit of caramel. Full bodied, with a good balance. Really good!
