The inaugural batch of Silver Rum. Batch no 1, bottle 186. Maybe this will be a collectors item one day! From San Marcos, CA. Smooth, with a hint of coconut. Always rooting for the local craft! — 8 years ago
Ended up getting to take this leftover bottle home after the Craft Spirits Carnival last weekend and couldn't figure out why I kept on getting the impression of earthiness. Duh, read the label and saw it was a 2005! Nice stuff! — 11 years ago
Caramel, darkest brown rye bread, baked golden apple, ripe green apple and poached Bosc, lemon and orange peel, glistening hemp oils. Lemongrass, spruce, sage and basil, peach blossom, clover and candied violet waft olfactorial. Ethereally nuanced. Snappy ginger and intense lemon oil, peppercorn, ginseng, candied grapefruit ride a fiery wave across the palate. Lanolin and beeswax entertain candied ginger and cinnamon oil. This one rips the thinning veil asunder, releasing the smoky spirits of ancestral resolve; the striving, meticulous, driven and unwavering craft. Impeccable and intense in depth, breadth and expanse.

Katun, Batch No. 54. Distilled with molasses, barrel aged. Made in small lots at a micro distillery. Coco nutty, grassy and buttery nose. Strong, clean, no fake flavors. Spice in mouth, dry, but no added natural or artificial anything. I drink it neat in a snifter or added to my daily coffee. Yes, I’d rather be drinking wine or hard cider, but if I’m going to do craft distilled beverages, this is a quality choice. — 7 years ago
Cardinal's 1st ever barrel of whiskey released 12/5/2015. Single malt whiskey made from 100% malted barley from Sugar Creek Malt Co. in Lebanon, Indiana. This is the very first craft single malt whiskey grown, mashed, fermented, distilled, & aged in Indiana. Notes: spicy, malty, with a lasting cinnamon & banana after burn. I can't wait to see how the other barrels turn out after they finish maturing! — 11 years ago

A collaboration between Nashville Craft and Fugitives Artisan Spirits, Grandgousier is a welcome entrant to the blossoming Tennessee Whiskey category. The mash for Tennessee Whiskey must by law consist of at minimum 51% corn, but Grandgousier's clocks in at a high 89% from sustainably grown heirloom varieties. You can taste it too in the whiskey's warming breadth and gratifying sweetness - flavors of walnut peel and char meet crème-brûlée crust and honeycomb. — 8 years ago
