Great Barbera, reminds me of a good Barberesco. — 5 years ago
O’Neill says 9.0 is high and it’s serviceable. Nice old barberesco — 7 years ago
Leather tar, cherry, campfire, and nice integrated tannins. Not as nuanced and elegant as Barberesco, but would not argue against it otherwise. — 10 years ago
Big bodied, large tannins, raspberries, and ash like quality from the volcanic soil. Great wine for the price and amazing substitute if you don't want to spend the money on a Barolo or Barberesco. — 10 years ago
Think of Barberesco Villages. Produced in a very agreeable style yet this is quite young at the moment. — 11 years ago
Wonderful Barberesco! — 13 years ago

Not sure where I got this one but 13 yr old barberesco drinking within its window. Delicious. Perfectly balanced acid/tannin/fruit with more dark fruit than red. Tart plum with rose tar. Very nice. Mid palate a bit bitter but love the front and back end. Goes on and on. — 4 years ago
Amazing Italian Barberesco wine to go with our burrata! A gorgeous 2005! — 9 years ago
Strong Blackberry (blackberry pie), ripe strawberries, subtle spice and vanilla (Slavonian oak). Strong, gripping tannins, raspberries, sour cherry on palate. Classic Barberesco. 2008. Second day: dark chocolate m, dark cherry, less tartness on palate, continuing strong tannins. Very good. — 10 years ago
Perfect rich mouth coating tannins . Notes of violet Roses on the nose / rich-dry powerful fruit complexity on the palate eased with a rustic cherry finish on the end. This Cru RABAJA 2007 vintage delivers every aspect one can expect from the Piedmont region of a Barberesco style wine — 10 years ago
Phew. Took a few hours but when it opened it opened all the way. Everything I want in a barberesco. Now I'm committed to stashing some in the cellar. — 5 years ago
True barberesco!! — 9 years ago
Freshly crushed cherry, tar, leather, cigar box, cranberry, balsamic, smoke, and medium tannins. Amazing Barberesco for the price. — 10 years ago
Complexity! Like the regular Barberesco but at next level. Still young. Gordons tasting #8 — 10 years ago
Platonic Barberesco — 11 years ago
Compare to Produttori del Barberesco, lighter and fresher 2010 my favorite! — 12 years ago

Outstanding. W’s favorite red wine ever, so far. To me like an Italian Pinot noir. At Vagabondo, vintage unknown. I see this vineyard may make many Nebbiolo types, including lighter Barberesco, and general Langhe blends. So I don’t know which this was. As tannins were not bad, favor a blend or a Barberesco. — 7 months ago
