Are Italians even capable of producing a bad wine? This was one of the most perfectly balanced wines I’ve had in a while. Easy to drink, soft, not too fruity, dry, or acidic. Paired great with roast beef. — 4 years ago
Delicious! From Smithsonian wine. — 3 months ago
Earthy, mineral, berries. Herbs develop over time. Beautiful deep ruby color. — 3 years ago
Awesome wine. Nose is ripe but full of fresh black cherry; cherry liquer, herbal notes, some bay. Beautiful red fruit acid driven wine with lots of minerals on the palate. Rossese has got to be the varietal find of the year for me. So lithe and pure and delicious. But I think this will develop for years. — 4 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Barbera d’Asti achieved DOCG status in 2008. Warm vibrant Ruby color with a bouquet of berry fruit aromas and sweet perfumed herb spice. On the palate flavors of plum, cherry and blackberry with pepper and herbs, good structure, balanced with savory acidity and soft tannins. Medium+ finish ending with juicy fruit. Exceptional! Great Value! — 2 months ago
