Medium light straw . Wet slate and chalky on the nose , with white flowers , touch of gunpowder and a lychee note . On the plate more white fruits , white peach , touch of lychee and ripe apple, with a light smoky touch . Nicely rounded mouthfeel with balanced alcohol . Slightly saline finish , with good acidity . Ok length . Showing pretty young at the moment , this will be better in a couple of years and last well a further 5-8 — 8 months ago
2022. Had side-by-side with the similarly delicious Weiser-Künstler “Enkircher Steffensberg im Löwenbaum" Riesling Spatlese 2022. The Lauer has a tiny bit more complex flavor and a little more mouthwatering acidity. I would gladly enjoy either wine again over the next few decades! — 4 months ago
Acidity is the first thing that I notice in a Lauer wine. Always screaming pairs well with the peach, apricot and steely minerality. I remember this bottle having a hint of RS. — 7 months ago
Concentrated liquid beauty. Balanced perfection. Racy acids, nicely off dry. Excellent complexity at this price, and it’s a good thing it’s only 8.5% because I’m drinking the whole bottle. — 5 months ago
Amazingly acidic, great body. Like an apple jolly rancher — 2 years ago

Orange blossom and the slightest touch of residual sugar to balance out the razor sharp acidity (and balance out my spicy Thai food). This is a light wine but I can almost taste the slate soils and steep slopes.
