Atomix. Sweet, apricot, vanilla cream — 2 months ago
Orange blossom and the slightest touch of residual sugar to balance out the razor sharp acidity (and balance out my spicy Thai food). This is a light wine but I can almost taste the slate soils and steep slopes.
Whole-cluster grapes and spontaneous fermentations

Pale yellow.
Grapefruit, lemon, pear, ginger, green herbs, rockdust and wonderful hints of orangeblossom!
Crystalline, bright, elegant. Beautiful ‘feinherb’-balance: just a hint of sweetness in the opening, meets racy acidity, and a clean dry finish.
Lovely wine, good quality, very quaffable at 10% ABV. — 24 days ago
Pretty light straw with green hint. Quite floral at first , touch of petrol , then mineral , wet slate , lemon peel , rose water . On the palate this is intense and very mineral , saline and well balanced . Wet slate , lemon peel, floral hints . Long and very precise , lean and mineral , focused on the finish . Needs a little more time, but will be great in a few years , wait another 3-4 . — 2 months ago
Funny because completely took me by surprise given my experience with Lauer- usually chiseled minerality rules the day. This works on both channels- a rich, even plump Kabinett style with RS to spare, but a finish so long & flush with slate all we could do is savor it for as long as possible. Gorgeous yellow fruits too, quite accessible, in all their Granny Smith & marigold glory. What a wine. Imagine how age will only deepen & burnish its elegance. — 7 days ago
Great acidity!!! Fresh not cloying in the least with dried apricots and what someone would say a just opened can of tennis balls. Much too young at this point. — 2 months ago
2022. Had side-by-side with the similarly delicious Weiser-Künstler “Enkircher Steffensberg im Löwenbaum" Riesling Spatlese 2022. The Lauer has a tiny bit more complex flavor and a little more mouthwatering acidity. I would gladly enjoy either wine again over the next few decades! — 8 months ago

Really interesting Spatlese-lots of flint & some Brett that needs to blow off on the front end. Settles down into a more balanced blend of deep gold & yellow fruits- dare say like a baby Prum. — 7 days ago
