Really liked this. Light on the palate with most citrusy and stonefruits but had also a nutty and autolutic complexity without being to heavy. Great wine — 6 months ago
A nice full body medium tannin. Robust with a bit of jam and earth. — 3 years ago
Mmm, delicious. Altesse is likely my favorite Savoie white. While I live how Jacquere can almost have this ethereal quality to it, very pure mountain air kind of feel, Altesse brings this weight and depth which is really intriguing. This 2016 is just starting to show a little oxidation, but in a gracefully aged sort of way. Apple skin, delicate white flowers, slight brioche, lemon zest and loads of minerality on the finish. Delightful. — 5 years ago
The Old Vine is where their line up starts to get more interesting.
The Old Vine is thicker, richer & more brooding. The fruits are more; ruby, lush and dark. Blackberries, black raspberries, dark plum, dark cherries and strawberries overlay the top. Nicely layered baking spices-cinnamon, nutmeg, soft clove and vanilla, crushed rocks, alluvial limestone & volcanics, graphite, tobacco, used leather, dark spices, saddle-wood, cocoa, mocha, caramel with fresh & withering red, dark & purple florals. Excellent acidity and a nicely balanced, knitted & elegant finish. — 6 years ago
2007 Chateau de Beaucastel- The 2007 Chateau Beaucastel is deftly walking the tightrope between primary and tertiary tones at the moment. Aromatically profound, the wine immediately unveils layers of black fruits woven together with shades of white truffle crudo, black peppercorns and Earl Grey tea that take shape in the glass. Showing brilliant verve and freshness, the palate has great depth of concentration, power and range. Blackberry compote and black licorice flavors combine with lighter red raspberry, damp earth and Provencale herb accents on this expressive palate. The long finish marvelously accentuates this beautiful wine. Marvelous now at the thirteen year mark, the 2007 Chateau Beaucastel has many years of drinking enjoyment ahead of it. A beautiful wine by a brilliant producer. Deep purple color. Bacon fat hints with earthy and truffles on the nose that evolve into dark fruits. Soft tannins on the mouthfeel linger to a grapey finish. Excellent — 2 months ago
Vey floral and spiced. Cold almond extract flavor as well, delicious — a year ago
Ultima bottiglia bevuta 30 aprile 2022. Molto morbido ancora tannino si sentiva bene ma levigato molto elegante. Purtroppo ha perso in serbevolezza, una beva da contemplazione. — 4 years ago
Light, pleasant, paired nicely with seasoned shrimp and roasted. potatoes — 5 years ago
Previously had the 2015. This was slightly more off-dry than dry but still excellent. — 6 years ago
Straw colored, amazing cold. — 6 years ago
1/2026. Good fruit. Bold and sits nice on the palate. Full bodied. Paired well with the crab cakes at Mr. Friendly’s. — 6 months ago
Very nice balanced well aged complex blend. — 7 months ago
It’s like almost every Napa chard from a high end producer. It’s good but not amazing. It reminds me of a warm hug. — a year ago
Do you know I keep trying it and I’m just not a fan of Gewurztraminer. There’s too much of a perfume flavor to it but it’s sort of reminds me of like chewing those fake fruit gummy‘s. This is delicious, it just sort of gets overwhelming after a while. — 4 years ago

Apricot and yeast. Nice, but take it to another level and mix with peach nectar for your breakfast mimosa. — 6 years ago
Fantastic. Wonderful nose and with a taste to match. — 6 years ago
