Vieil-Armagnac 1983

My first vintage Armagnac. Apple crumble, gorgeous spice. Incredible texture. Long. Very similar to Calvados.

Löss Grüner Veltliner 2016

Melon, crisp, slightly liquorish. Somewhat (a little) bit of minerality. Delish as an aperitif wine or with food. I had it with scallops prepared with a frame of Armagnac. So so good. Buy it if you can find it. Not widely available. A treat. Oh. And an excellent “value” wine. But. It’s all relative but it’s about &20 in New York! — 5 months ago

Hors D'age Reserve Bacquie Bas-Armagnac 2005

Cuvée 2005... vieilli 15 ans en chêne. Un cadeau de longue date fraîchement débouché. Comme un Grand Marnier mais de luxe ! Wow, quel équilibre. — a month ago

Interesting I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about cognac but was trying to refresh my memory on it today and now this...all I know is I want to taste more Borderies cognac and/or cognac at large. Do you recommend this or...did it just have a distinguished nose?
