Apple and pear fruit with classic mineral finish. Wonderfully paired with shellfish ( scallops and lobster). — a month ago
2012 vintage. Opened and decanted. Tasted 45 mins after decanting. Medium-heavy body with tremendous power. Nose not giving up much at that point other than nebulous, dark fruits. Flavors of spearmint, watercress, rhubarb and ash. Needed at least another hour of lounge time in the decanter to unfurl those wings somewhat but three hours woulda been better. Two bottles left so will opt for a 6 hr decant next viz if possible. 12.25.24. — 18 days ago
Lush black fruit aromas, a full rich body with black fruits, light vanilla and new oak, and silky buy present tannins. Merry Christmas!! — 19 days ago
Lovely nose of ripe pear, honey, cake frosting. Pretty easy to sip - round, toasty, decent acidity, slight pleasant bitterness, fresh enough but age showing nicely. — a month ago
The 22 Burgundies are as good as advertised. Maybe, better.
Time in the bottle will tame the lemon in this bottle. It needs it.
Green & golden apple, Meyer lemon to chiffon, lime pulp, overripe pineapple juice, white stone fruits, tropical melons, cream, saline, sea fossils, chalky pulp, limestone pulp, light caramel notes, honeycomb, cream, spring flowers, excellent viscosity & round acidity, elegance, round lush balanced finish that lasts a full minute. Even better in 3-5 years. One of the best Bourgogne’s I’ve had to date.
