The last of our 2018. It has aged really well. Deep ruby color, butter, some earth. Delicious. — 7 months ago
Dark Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits, herbs and earthy oak spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry, raspberry and currants with espresso, cacao and earthy notes. Well balanced, lively acidity, fine tannins long ending with fruit, oak, mineral and tobacco spice! Very Nice Napa Cab! — 7 months ago
Fantastic, well balanced, wonderful fruit, deep berries, vanilla, great mouth feel, smooth finish, and we just pulled the cork! — a year ago
Excellent Pre Bday Red — 2 years ago
Had scents of walnuts, boysenberry and a bit of barnyard. The texture and color were both excellent and the flavors were full bodied spanning from boysenberry, through leather, and into seared steak. — 2 years ago
See my previous note in February 2026. Very similar to now. This is fulsome and savoury at once - black cherry and raspberry. Very easy to like. Like a hypothetical blend of Syrah and Merlot. The herbal savouriness of Syrah with the softness of a supple Merlot. Made by Alvaro Palacios. Love the flamboyant Spanish label. — 2 days ago
Drinking the 2018 in 2026. Dark thick long lasting legs. Nose has dark fruit and cherry notes, slightly sweet. Light flavor for a cab. Very smooth with a fruity finish. Nice wine. — 6 months ago
Great cabernet sauvignon. Black fruit aromas, well balanced. Sipping while in Tobago. — 8 months ago

Fruit, flowers and some plushness. — 2 years ago
I bought and drank a fair amount of Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre back in the late 1990s, and always enjoyed them. First time in the past 20 years, this seems a little softer and polished, a little lower ABV (13.5 vs. 14+ in earlier vintages), this is vinified using conventional fermentation as well as some ripasso fermentation (think Amarone drying grapes on straw mats), and has some very nice complexity and length, very nice!! — 2 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2018 “S” pours a slightly hazy garnet/purple color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry, licorice, purple flowers, green herbs and crushed rock. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+. I love me some Lapierre. Drink now through 2038. — 9 days ago
