Garnet to pink rim, clear and bright. Soft fragrant rose petals, baked cherry vanilla biscuit, closing out with a hint of licorice. Some nuttiness on the palate, with persistent alcohol-warmed cherries midway. Tart and grippy tannic finish. More bottle life awaits. Very very enjoyable, bringing back memories of La Morra last summer. Looking forward to our return to Piedmont!

Astringent and out of balance, perhaps an off bottle. Bramble rhubarb and hay with green leaf notes... not typical for Nebbiolo. This wine doesn’t fall into the almost-Barbaresco Langhe wines, nor does it hit the fruit-forward Beaujolais-style Langhe wines of other producers (Elio Altare, etc). The price is right at Costco... I’ll wait for the upcoming 2019. — 5 years ago

DeeeLish! Definitely a delicate version of Nebbiolo. Great nose. Medium tannins. Nice fruit. But not as fruit forward as the Elio Altare we also had at dinner. I need to try more of his single vineyard wines. — 7 years ago
