Such a flexible and lovely wine. It handled the challenge of a salad (not so easy with the vinegar in the dressing), and then it really shone with our roasted spicy sausages with shallots and apples. Its touch of sweet in the approach, along with its lush mouthfeel, handled the spice, and there long acid and mineral made each sip refreshing and clean. — 19 days ago
Classic Riesling profile. Pale yellow green. White flowers and unctuous oily notes and stones. Firm acidic texture and bite carrying into finish. Opened for Mary’s bkgp event at home. Well appreciated. Great with sushi etc from Koy — 14 hours ago
After 17 years it turned into this beauty: deep golden hue, green papaya, gingered apricot, yellow peach, honey, saffron, tons of Indian curry spices, Indian spiced butter, dried bay leaf, and wet stones. Finished long with the off dry honey musky notes well balanced with the phenolic bite, at moderate acidity. Paired well with our Turmeric Veggie Dal. — 12 days ago
It’s no wonder Gewurztraminer is one of the four noble grape varieties in Alsace, France. 👏👏👏 It’s uniquely expressive, perfumed, rich, and oily with youthful and pronounced aromas 👃 of lychee, açaí, papaya, mango, pineapple, also sweet spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and rose, stargazer lily, elderflower, and wet stone. 🤩🤩🤩
👁 This wine is deep gold. 👄 It’s dry with a modicum of residual sugar. It has medium acidity, a medium(+) body, medium alcohol, and pronounced flavors, consistent with the nose, including notes of lychee, açaí, papaya, mango, pineapple, also sweet spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and rose, stargazer lily, elderflower, and wet stone. The finish is medium(+).
We’ve paired this wine with grilled vegan brats and roasted zucchini.
Albert Boxler, Gewurztraminer, Vintage 2018, ABV 13.5% (on the cusp of high alcohol).
Cheers to it almost being the weekend(?)! — a month ago
This is so pretty and drinkable. Dry and delicately perfumed.
A blend of “4 Noble grapes” (Riesling, pinot Gris, gewurz and muscat). Soft orchard fruit, floral notes of blossom and not overbearingly spicy. It’s springtime! 💃🕺🏼🐥🌼🍑🍇🍐🍎🍋🥗💕
Great with my daughters’ chicken/mango salad.

Medium lemon color. Pronounced developing nose of lemon zest, green apple, pears, hint of nectarine, freshly cut grass and ginger. The palate is dry with high acidity, medium alcohol and a medium body. Finish is a little lacking at medium+ but overall very well structured, elegant effort from Riesling if a little inferior to the expressive nature of Geisberg. — 12 days ago
