The 2018 Spring Confrerie dinner was a wonderful time with some great Alsatian wines (and non-Alsatian wines) and fantastic food!
Just a classic example of what it should be. Very honeyed and perfumed. Fair bit of acidity. Lingering honeycomb, pear and a touch spicy finish. — 6 days ago
Beautiful ... pineapple , lychee . Long . Perfect desert wine !! — an hour ago
For sure lychee and totally delicious, but no joke on the syrupyness. Not a dry, clean expression if the grape, but lovely aromatics and color. So honey yellow. — 14 days ago
Glassy clear, straw yellow robe. Medium nose of melon, pears and apples. Sweet attack with a light fizz and gentle bitterness, a taste of honey and wood. Long sweet finish. Very unique. — 11 days ago
The real deal, folks. You don’t have to like it to appreciate it, but I suppose “haters gonna hate”. Extremely spicy, dense, ultra-concentrated Gewurz. Bursting with ripe mango and passion fruit, cinnamon and allspice. Not a lot of acidity, but the concentration and aromatics are screaming. Power and intensity in spades. This is unmistakable and honest Alsatian Wine from a very underrated producer. — 17 days ago
Floral with excellent balance... notes of fresh peaches, ginger, grapefruit and baking spices — 8 days ago
This is Hugel. An excellent sweet and spicy Gewürztraminer with good length and richness. — 8 days ago
