Deep purple/ inky in color with a reddish rim.
Beautiful nose of red and black fruits with cedar, vanilla, licorice, Indian spices, tobacco leaf and chocolates.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with red cherries, currants, black plums, cedar, tobacco leaf, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, herbs and peppercorn.
Long tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Elegant, fruit forward and exciting. Nicely balanced and complex.
Still very young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already drinking gorgeously.
Already drinking beautifully, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 7 years and see how it evolves.
A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
A tiny production of only 640 bottles.
14.9% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

In a great spot after an hour of air. A fantastic complement to lamb chops. Bravo, @Mike Smith! — 4 years ago
1.5 hour decant (just a little cloudy sediment). A thrilling dark purple garnet color. On the nose: blackberry, floral, spice, gravel. Taste: dry, acidic, medium body wine with blackberry, tobacco, cassis, some dusty tannis still there and a cherry cedar medium finish. — 6 years ago

Made with 70% Xarel-lo and 30% Macabeo in the Penedes, this is beautifully expressive, with brioche, butterscotch, and roasted almonds on the nose. Hints of citrus and crushed flowers peek out with time. On the palate the flavors mirror the nose, and a vibrant acidity comes through as well. Mouthfeel is creamy, and finish is long, with brioche and mineral notes lingering on the palate. Aged 95 months on the lees. Paired well with swordfish braised with tomatoes and sweet yellow peppers. — 5 days ago
Unripe peach, maybe a little melon, nice minerality, good with arugula! — 2 months ago
2016 Vintage agree with @Daniel P. Drake review after allowing it to breathe for 20 minutes. Lovely at 10 years old. — 3 months ago

Opened a bottle 2 years ago & it was excellent but a bit of tannin bite on finish. Today this bottle retained the fruit aromas & palate feel but it’s finish softened so I found it bit better. — 10 days ago
We had the 2019 Vintage on 6/28-29/26. This was ready to drink. All tannins smoothed out. Black fruit and camphor on the bouquet. BlackBerry, plum, cassis on the palate. Full bodied, well balanced and New World. Definitely Napa. — 3 days ago
Nerello Mascalese. Another really interesting and different varietal from Sicily. Nose: Cherry, leather. Taste: sour cherry and plum. Paired well with spicy pizza. — 3 months ago
Smooth like silk, red fruit still there with soft tannins and long finish — 4 months ago
Nose of plum, underripe cherry, a lil cranberry, tobacco and crunchy red fruit burst out of the palate of this 13 year old wine. The color shows the age, bricking and pale brown/ruby color indicating some time in the bottle, but the nose and the palate tell no tales. Medium bodied, with crunchy red fruits and well integrated, grippy tannin, this has at least another 10 years before it starts to lose its legs. Great juice. — 6 months ago
Hard to rate this fairly given it’s young age and lack of decanting.. it was a little tight and closed initially but started to open up as the bottle was consumed .. Has great upside and I can see this easily being a 95+ point wine if given the proper treatment! — 6 years ago
