Yeah, I bought 2 Joel Gott wines today. I guess I'm reliving some of the wines I liked when I first got into wine.
This is just fine! Inexpensive and chuggable, if I'm not careful. Citrus, green apple, pineapple, melon.. you're supposed to say "grass and gooseberry" when you drink SB, but I've never tasted a gooseberry. Not very grassy, either. Doing this with Thai spring rolls, and it's great.

This is true, and I've had plenty of NZ SB's, but I've never tasted a gooseberry. Or cat pee. Maybe grass... 🤷‍♂️ @Dawn E.

Excellent and robust, balanced between dark and bright fruits, wonderful hints of cherry with minute essence of floral tones. Held on to this one for a while and she did not disappoint! — 4 years ago
