Chardonnay.
1st bottle was oxidized so our generous host had to pull a second one just to make sure that “premox” is a thing of the past....?

Chassagne-Montrachet Chardonnay

A little too young. This mineral driven Chardonnay was nice and balanced. Good acid, fruit, and just a kiss of oak. — 7 days ago

Chablis Chardonnay

I love the screeching acidity of Chablis. Produced on the domains this has a good balance of fruit and acid. Chardonnay the way it should be. — 6 days ago

Really good. Still kicking strong and had not lost much of its beautiful color. Earthy with still plenty of life left. — 19 days ago

One of my favorite wines of the summer. Fresh juicy pear, peach, green apple, grilled pineapple. Perfect acidity — 23 days ago

Domaine du Pavillon Clos des Maréchaudes Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru

A little more nuance out of this one. The single vineyard allows the spice to meld well with earthy ness of this wine. — 6 days ago

Château-Gris Les Terrasses Nuits Saint Georges Chardonnay 2014

Well now Meyer lemons vanilla beans (dating oak trees so...) and a butter churned all couldn’t decide what wine to make and contributed equally. This is exquisite. The acid sings and the lemon and oak sing backup. Delightful. It’s balance of many contenders. All flavors and nuances may not be feisty but all together they are worth enjoying. So nice to taste chardonnay with oak that blends seamlessly into the other fun flavors of a ripe but acidity Chardonnay. So good so get the H in — a month ago
