Aberlour Distillery

The Balvenie Distillery

Port Wood 21 Years Malt

Honey, port wine on the nose with a silky mouthfeel and perfect viscosity. The finish has a burn which is perfect not soft like an aberlour and it’s not sweet either. Masterpiece! — a month ago

Clynelish Distillery

29yr SMWS 26.105 Bumblebees by the Sea

Very light on the nose but very enjoyable . The palate is described as “waxy” in the same fashion of Taco Bell melted cheese or Crayola crayons. Of course as soon as they said that I tasted crayon in the aftertaste. I did not get the waxiness on the tongue but I would describe it as having Chapstick on your lips when you licked them. It coats them. Very nice. The finish was a bit spicy and very long. Supposedly it’s sister distillery (Brora) which is now shut down has all if this plus a touch of smoke. Evidently next level but $2100/bottle last seen. — a month ago

Aged 15 Years Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 1877

More peat than I would have thought from a bourbon, but still nice and smooth and maybe a blind tasting mess more most. — 9 days ago

Woodford Reserve Distillery

Distiller's Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Smooth, taste of Honey and smells of caramel. Aside from the name reminding me of my Premier/Warden, I love it. — 25 days ago
