Expressive nose of dark fruit, syrah fighting over Tempranillo. Dark, blackberries and liquorice, ripe dark cherries, pencil lead, chocolate. Fine tannins, I feel the alcohol, that dominates freshness, must be close to 15. Solid dark, great wine yet I miss freshness. — 3 months ago

Portuguese Field blend of Tints Barroca, Tinta Roriz and Rufete. Dark ruby color with a thin garnet rim. Aromas and flavors of black and red bramble berries, baking spices and roasted meat. Quite concentrated and bold. Touch of oak, vanilla and dill on the long and lingering finish. Nicely integrated (soft) tannins and medium-plus acidity. Nice intensity. Thank you for opening this wine, Ron B! — 3 days ago
