Found it! This is a light-handed Zin, and very delicious. Thanks for the recommendation! @Doug Powers @Anthony De Blasi

Ten years post vintage, the 2016 shows little sign of age. Dark, warming, smooth and rich. Dusty tannins and the 15.5% alcohol has mellowed as has the typical peppery bite on the back-end of Zins. All around, still drinking great — 4 days ago
Day 1 of this year's Smallmouth Smackdown has begun. After 7 hours on the boat, and a dozen bass, it's time to crack into some libations (had a few PBR's on the boat).
This is a lush Zin. Concentrated fruit, but savory and chewy. Blackberry, blood orange, cigar box, and enough structure to age much longer. This is my 3rd Ridge Zin, and I'd have to say I still favor the Pagani Ranch.

Lighter than many Zins without the bomb of alcohol in the nose. Blackberry,, raise a, tobacco and leather notes. — a month ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Sweet nose of black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco and black pepper.
Full bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, light cedar, licorice, chocolates, coffee, light earth and peppercorn.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This 9 year old Zinfandel from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully now. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel, complex and entertaining.
Drinking at its peak, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years. Tangy and spicy, rich and inviting.
I had this vintage 7 years ago, and it is drinking much better now.

Interesting Zinfandel (73%) based California blend. Also includes Petite Sirah (13%), Carignan (10%), Mataro (3%) and Alicante Bouchet (1%)). Dark ruby/purple color with a slight garnet rim. Pronounced aromas of ripe red and black berries, mint, violets moist earth and wet stones. Plush flavors of black berry/raspberry/plum fruit, mulberries, cola, dried herbs and sweet baking spices. Touch of smoky black pepper spice on the long and zesty finish. Medium-plus bodied and robust with a juicy profile and soft/silky tannins. Excellent picnic wine! Memorial Day 2026. — 3 days ago
I would absolutely buy this one again! Especially at the $20-$25 price point.
Delicious blueberry and rhubarb pie on the nose. Silky tannins with low acidity, and a long vanilla finish with mild oak. Well balanced and very enjoyable. — a month ago
