I like everything about this sfursat. Except hard to find! — a month ago
Ticks all the boxes. Intensely perfumed, tars, tobacco, leather, red/brown fruits, earth.
The Palate rewards with a luscious mouthfeel that’s neither heavy nor light, finishes long, lots of earth and mineral.
The wines are so rewarding.

Slightly oxidized but loads of fruit still, strawberry and raspberry a bit of clove. Clean and silky texture. Not quite what it was 5 years ago — 6 days ago

Originally tasted back to back from Rosso to Rocca de Piro then this. This time had it with ‘16 Barolo, interesting to see how much they’re different from each other given the fact that both are from Nebbiolo. Slightly lighter than Barolo but more lively and energetic, notes of cherry and fresh oak with gentle smokiness. Absolutely enjoyed it! — 2 months ago
Enjoyed over 3-4 hours. Long, fine tannins. Dark fruit and tobacco. Begs for beef bourguinon — 10 days ago

Light body, deep flavor. Earthy and savory, with tobacco and a core of dark cherry, lively with slightly sticky tannin. Yum! — a month ago

A very soft, open, and friendly rendition. Nose has sweet cherry juice, and very clean crushed stone dust. A subtle note of new leather. Velvet textured and flowing in the mouth, it’s lean but not in an austere way. Equal parts bright cherry fruit and crushed rock. Bone dry, with good acids. A bit if soft chalky tannin in the finish. Not one to age, I’d drink this over the next few years.
UPDATE: On night 2, this has tightened up a bit and is showing more structure and complexity. Upping from 8.8 to 8.9. Give this some air. — 22 days ago
